August is here! We are lucky to hear about so many of our patient’s vacations and enjoy the telling of their adventures. From California to the New York Island, we have lived with you through your new, cherished summer memories and hope that everyone is able to squeeze in a few more relaxing moments.

As the sunsets start to appear earlier and students head back to school, the Carter Crew reflects on the amazing accomplishments this year has brought and is re-energized for next year’s challenges. Medical Assistant Jamie will be headed to the University of Florida College of Medicine and Katherine will pursue an Advanced Bio-Medical Program at George Mason and Georgetown Universities. The Carter Crew would like to thank our incredible patients for letting us into their lives and helping us become better providers everyday.

Happy Independence Day! Thank you to our Armed Forces and their families for their extraordinary sacrifice. Their dedication and actions humble us. We are grateful for their character and service that make our freedom and way of life possible.

We hope this holiday gives us pause to reflect on the opportunities granted to us and the power to shape our world. We hope that your hot dogs are delicious and your fireworks brilliant! Happy Fourth to you and your family and friends!

The first days of summer are officially here! The Carter Crew is enjoying the warm weather and new travels with old friends. We look forward to seeing those of you who are catching up with us over the lazy days of summer as much as we are excited to hear about the adventures of our vacationing friends.

Wherever the summer takes you, be sure to bring your sunscreen, water, and a big hat! We are constantly reminded about the damaging effects of the sun and hope everyone is able to enjoy the sun safely!

This Memorial Day Weekend, we will be enjoying our time off relaxing, barbequing, and reclining beach side. This meaningful time spent catching up with our loved ones will welcome the summer and kick off a season of outdoor activities!

We look forward to hearing about everyone’s plans and hope everyone is stocked up on sunscreen, rash guards, and hats for the sunny weekend ahead of us!

Most importantly, we would like to remember the men and women who sacrificed themselves to serve and protect our great nation and preserve our freedoms. Their dedication, service, and altruism embody the greatest characteristics of America, and we hope to remember these service members and support their families. Thank you to all of those who serve our country and make this weekend possible for us to enjoy!

We are so thrilled to have Lauren, a senior at the Madeira school, with us this month! Lauren is an aspiring pre-medical student, who is completing her senior project by shadowing in our office. She will be graduating from Madeira on June 8th, and is excited to start school at the historical Barnard College this fall. In the mean time, Lauren has been a big help in our office, giving educational talks and helping us everyday! We are so proud of you Lauren, and can’t wait to see all of the incredible things that you will accomplish!
