Happy Mothers Day!
Happy Mothers Day! This year we were interested in learning how different people cultures celebrate Mother’s Day, and wanted to share something fun that we learned – how to say “mother” around the world! Whether your mom lives around the corner or around the world, don’t forget to tell her how much you love her this Sunday!

Achoo! Allergy season is here!
This week we have enjoyed delightfully sunny weather, but some of us have also been experiencing seasonal allergies. With a record high pollen count, the DMV has our patients sneezing! Here are some tips to help cut down on seasonal allergies, and enjoy the warm weather:
- Determine if your symptoms are really allergies – symptoms include congestion that lasts for more than two weeks; eyes and nose itching; clear mucus; and exacerbated symptoms after being outside.
- Wear a mask for outdoor chores – or bring the work inside! Be sure to kick off your work shoes and clothes as soon as you get home, to avoid bringing allergens into the house.
- Over the counter medications, as recommended by your primary care physician can help to relieve many allergy symptoms. Alternately, a saline rinse or spray can help to ease congestion.
We hope that these tips help you to enjoy the beautiful weather!
Happy Earth Day!
After the long winter behind us, the Carter Crew is excited to finally welcome Spring in D.C.! The clouds did not stop our team from enjoying the beauty of nature this weekend with picnics in the park, runs along D.C.’s picturesque routes, and playtime with beloved pups. Not only were those all pleasurable activities, but they were also great ways to celebrate Earth Day and our extraordinary planet. We hope you, just like us, had a wonderful Earth Day filled with appreciation of our mutual home filled with explored, as well as undiscovered wonders – Mother Earth!
Happy Spring!
Happy Spring! April offers the dawn of Spring and hints of the end of the school year. Here in Washington, D.C., we are elated to see the Cherry Blossoms emerge and witness the beautiful historical sites around the city.
In April, we reflect on how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place with such inspiring people. Our patients relay stories of servitude and dedication to causes beyond themselves, and we celebrate with all of them as they are appreciated this season. The Carter Crew is joyful as our medical assistants are accepted to medical schools and advanced medical programs, and looks forward to their promising futures.
The bitter winter will be pushed aside for the warmth and sun of April, as the staunch work of this year will yield the rewards of Spring.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
May the Luck of the Irish be with everyone tomorrow! St. Patrick’s Day ends the cold winter months and reminds of us the joy to come with spring. Whether celebrating the beautiful country of Ireland, the Saint himself, an excuse to wear green, or all of the above, the holiday brings a little extra cheer to our daily lives.
