Stay Home, Stay Safe
These are unprecedented times with so many unknown things going on in our world. This novel type of coronavirus, COVID-19, is a concern for us all. All aspects of life are affected, and we want to assure all our patients that we are here for you, ready to support you in your medical emergencies during this time. We can get through this together as a community.
As part of your healthcare team, we urge all of our beloved patients to keep a sense of calm and practice safe measures at home and beyond.
- Avoid being in public places as much as possible
- Avoid unnecessary travel
- Wash hands thoroughly when returning home and after contact with others
- Grocery shop once a week
- Maintain a safe six foot distance from others when in public
- Self-quarantine for two weeks after returning from travel or if exposed
- If you do feel sick, call your Primary Care Provider before you go in and self isolate from others in your home
Please note that our office is still opened, operating on a limited staff and schedule. We are seeing emergency and urgent matters to avoid any extra trips to the Emergency Department. This includes falls, wounds, accidents, and aggressive cancers. Do not hesitate to contact our office via phone or email with any pressing matters you may have.
In these times of uncertainty, we must ourselves become leaders in the way that we treat our friends and our strangers. Interact with others with kindness, bearing in mind that we all need to get through this together.
Happy February!
February is here! As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, the Carter Crew is looking forward to the sweet smell of Spring. Hopefully the recent rainfall will allow for many beautiful flowers to blossom.
Moreover, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! This time of year reminds us about the importance of love. In Dr. Carter’s office, we constantly see love in our patients and through the actions of their friends and family. We see love in the little moments, such as when a daughter holds her mother’s hand during a treatment or when a best friend attends every appointment.
However you chose to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we hope you cherish those around you and share the love you are given.
Winter Is Here!
As we venture deeper into 2020, the days are colder which brings nights full of hot cocoa, fireplaces, and cozy blankets. The Carter Crew has been enjoying hearing about our patients’ holiday adventures whether they were spent here in DC, on the West Coast, or abroad. We’re looking forward to sharing warmer weather with our lovely patients, but we’re hoping for one (or two!) more snowfall before Springtime rolls around.
The Winter will continue to bring exciting changes, and we hope everyone’s New Year’s Resolutions continue to stay strong. We love hearing how our patients are resilient in all their goals for their health and happiness. During this Winter, we encourage everyone to support one another and to spread the warm vibes to make up for the cold temperatures.
We look forward to seeing all our patients in the office to hear more about what they’re looking forward to for the rest of the year!
Happy Holidays!
Thanksgiving
It’s almost Thanksgiving!
It seems like the year is moving along at a blur. Looking back, we have so much to be thankful for. From big events, like several of our staff interviewing for medical school, to the small kindnesses that we see from day to day, its important to reflect and be thankful for all the good that has happened. We hope that you have had many bright, happy events to be thankful for – and we hope that this year will end strong for everyone!
